Our Process

Wendy Benstead: Costume and Clothing - Our Process

1. Submit a project to us for a quote.
We are happy to quote on any project, and initial consultations are free of charge. Whether it’s a bridal gown, commercial campaign of film or TV project, our team will discuss your needs in depth at all stages to ensure we are consistently working to brief. When submitting a quote, it always helps to have images or a mood-board – but don’t worry if you don’t have these, we have our own in house design team to support you should you need this undertaking.

2. Come in and meet with the team for a free consultation.
This step isn’t always necessary, and we are able to work remotely, but its always great to chat to our clients face to face and talk the project through. We especially love meeting our brides to get excited with you about your dream dress designs!

3. We send you a formal quote.
We always work to contract, so our clients feel secure in the knowledge they know exactly what the project entails, and our Terms and Conditions are included in our Order Forms. We do request a 30% deposit to secure work, but until this is received there is no obligation at all. Our Order Forms provide a clear breakdown of what services we will be undertaking, and how the costing is calculated.

4. Sign Off and Confirmation
Once you have confirmed the quote, simply sign and return our Order Form to us, and pay the deposit.

5. We work our magic!
You will be kept updated throughout the project, and if appropriate, all fittings will be an opportunity to further discuss your needs. If fittings are not being undertaken, we are happy to send photographs of work in progress.

6.  Completion and Delivery
Depending on your project, we will either see you for a final fitting for collection from our studio, or we can arrange a secure courier to deliver your goods to location. As we work frequently in film and TV, we understand the importance of meeting delivery deadlines, and as such always take steps to ensure the project is camera ready for The Big Day, whether that be a shoot, filming, or a wedding.
